This notice explains how ABIEM (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information from the My Red Cousin website and mobile app. ABIEM is responsible for the personal information that we receive.
1. The short version
The current app works without an account. Your cycle and wellness data is protected on your device and is not sent to us. It can leave your device when you choose to export it, contact support, or turn on private cloud sync once that feature is ready. The website waitlist keeps only your email address and a record of your permission.
2. Information handled by the app
The app may store period dates, flow, symptoms, moods, notes, sexual-activity entries, cycle settings, predictions, an optional display name, and app preferences. Your cycle entries and sensitive cycle settings are locked using security built into your phone. The app keeps this information out of regular Android and iCloud backups. We cannot see or recover information that stays on your device.
If you export a backup, the file is not password-protected and may contain sensitive health information. You choose where to save or share it. Once you do, the privacy rules of that destination apply. If you contact support, we receive the name, email, message, and language setting you submit through our support provider, Supabase. Please avoid including health information unless it is needed for your request.
3. Website and waitlist information
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the date and time you joined, and which version of this notice and the Terms you accepted. We use these details with your permission to send launch and occasional My Red Cousin product updates, prevent abuse, and keep a record of your permission. Your email is kept in a private waitlist for this website. Only people with the admin password can view it. It is not health data, so please do not submit health information through the waitlist.
Our hosting company may keep basic security records, such as your IP address, browser information, the page requested, and the time of the request. These records help deliver and protect the website. We do not use advertising cookies or tools that track your activity across other websites.
4. Private cloud sync
Private cloud sync is in the works. When it is ready, it will be off unless you choose to use it. We plan to lock your cycle data on your device before it is uploaded. Before the feature launches, we will explain how it is protected, who helps us provide the service, what account details are needed, how long data is kept, how to delete or recover it, and whether it costs anything. We will update this notice and ask for permission where the law requires it.
5. How we use and share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not use cycle information for ads, insurance or employment decisions, or to build unrelated profiles about you. We use your waitlist details because you gave us permission. We use support messages to answer you. For support and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests, which means our practical need to run and protect the website and app. We may share information we hold with companies that help us, when the law requires it, to protect people or our services, or to deal with a legal claim.
6. How long we keep information and how to delete it
- App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall.
- Export files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete them.
- Waitlist records remain until you change your mind, ask us to delete them, or twelve months after the initial public release, whichever comes first. We may keep them longer if the law requires it.
- Support records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain security records, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
7. Your choices and rights
You can take back your waitlist permission or ask to see, correct, delete, limit, or receive a copy of information we hold about you. Contact info@abiem.solutions. You may also object to certain uses of your information and complain to your local privacy regulator. Legal exceptions may apply. Because we cannot access data kept only on your device, you control it through the app and your phone settings.
8. Security, children, and changes
We protect information using secure website connections, restricted files, a password-protected waitlist page, and security built into your phone. No system is completely secure. The website and app are not directed to children under 13. The waitlist is for people who can legally agree to receive these updates. We may update this notice when the website, app, or law changes. We will show the new date and give notice or ask for permission when required.
